I had spotted 5 different herds with close to 40 elephants when I had visited Bandipur National Park in the month of June. It’s hard to describe the feeling of seeing so many of the second-largest land mammal. They were close enough that I could hear the grass-roots ripping from the ground as they pulled it out and wrapped it in their flexible trunks. This super cute calf was standing on the roadside along with its mother and two other elephants. It was extremely curious and was trying to get a glimpse of the moving vehicles while munching on the grass. Doesn't it look like it jumped right out of a Disney movie?
