The Louvre

It was winter when my wife and I visited Paris for the first time. Arguably the most famous museum in the world, The Louvre, came last on our jam packed itinerary that day. We were exhausted from hours of strolling around the city but when we arrive to this historic monument, I was just left in awe. It was such an absolutely iconic landmark which I'm used to see only in movies. It was then when I truly realized that Paris isn't called "The City of Lights" for nothing. I already had a planned shot in my mind. However, the water features are turned off and dried out. And so I took a few steps back and looked for other interesting compositions. Fortunately, I found an intriguing symmetry on the horizon. I set up my tripod and took this wide shot using my 5D mark iii and 16-35f4 L lens at 10sec, f8, ISO100
