Gölcük Nature Park Gölcük Lake is an artificial lake located 13 km south of Bolu. Its area is 4.5 ha, its circumference is 1,300 m and its elevation is 1217 m. The lake and its environs have been declared a Natural Park and taken under protection. The over photographed structure on the shore of the lake is the State Guesthouse of the Ministry of Forestry. Around the lake is a forest consisting of pine, beech, fir and hornbeam. In the area, there are country casinos, cafeterias, country restaurants, bungalow houses, masjids and buffets.
