It was a very great morning. I went to drop my brother to his examination centre and meanwhile I thought I will do some bird watching. After dropping him, I saw there was a pond right besides that examination centre. I thought let’s check what’s the status of bird life here. As soon I entered the area I started witnessing many birds, though they were out of reach of the lens that I was having (Canon 55-250 mm f/4-5.6). So, to grab a decent shot I went deep into the bushes and made myself comfortable there by lying down on my stomach. Suddenly I saw a Bronze winged Jacana coming right towards me and as soon I made my camera ready, the bird, I guess it got my smell, returned back real fast. I was lying down in the harsh sun trying and searching for bird. Some instinct in my mind made me turn to my right side, the moment of shock. There was an Indian Pond Heron sitting right next to me watching me with keen eye. I grabbed the camera, managed the settings and just got 2 shots before it flew away. I was really impressed by the performance of Canon EOS 700D.
