I am from the Bronx NY and had a rough upbringing, After numerous low points in my life I found photography. I found a love of capturing people in their best light even when going through something dark. Children are dealing with so much in their lives and to take this picture of a young lady who wants to be a model when she is an adult touched me. It was her first time in front of a camera and professional lighting, I told her to be natural and relax, and I got these amazing photos of this future model. And I cant help to think about my childhood and wishing I found photography early like this young lady in the photos found modeling. This is why I do it! to tell those stories' that crossover with mine in a still image. It may seem like a picture of a child to those who look at first glance, but for her its her first experience in front of a camera. And for me its continuing my goal to help children through art and theater.
