Kumari is considered a living embodiment of Taleju Bhawani/Durga.Before the procession, special pujas are performed at Hanumandhoka Palace.Indra Jatra (Yenya) is Kathmandu’s biggest street festival, celebrated in September (Bhadra month).The Kumari’s blessing is considered extremely powerful, especially during Indra Jatra. The event symbolizes the unity of state, religion, and community in the Kathmandu Valley.
