National Day is when Singapore roars to life as it remembers its colourful rise to independence since 1965. Being celebrated every year, the location varies but the parade always remains as dazzling and beautiful as the years before. This year, it was being held at the floating platform overlooking the beautiful skyline of Singapore. Audience members sit back to enjoy a stunning spectacle of military parades, multi-cultural song-and-dance performances and aerial high jinks capped by a breathtaking firework extravaganza set against the stunning cityscape framed by the Marina Waterfront. This shot was taken at the end of the 3rd rehearsal for Singapore’s National Day using a Canon EOS 750D with a 10-18mm Wide Angle lens. The amount of photographers that day were insane and i was one of the lucky few who managed to secure this beautiful spot overlooking Marina Bay Sands, a plus point as well, as it made for an excellent background for the fireworks. Singapore’s my home and i am honoured to be able to share my experiences with everyone.
