Nature's architects in action!

Living in Singapore, one can observe the many architectural wonders this place has to offer. Singapore is not only home to these man-made creations of concrete and steel, but also some outstanding creations by nature's architects, weaver birds. It is always fascinating to observe male weaver birds build their intricate home that they use as a form of display to lure prospective mates. I wanted to capture and showcase this in action. This is a moment that captures a Golden-backed weaver picking long blades of grass from nearby vegetation and returning to weave its home complete. I shot this image with my Canon EOS-1D X Mark II mounted with EF600mm f/4L IS II USM + Extender EF 1.4xIII. EXIF : F8, ISO2000, 1/3200s
