Kokoro NoTomo – The Cherrybelles and Rilakkuma

Follow Christy Saura, Mutiara Dewi and host Amanda Zevannya as they explore the scenic towns of Kawagoe and Yokohama with their Canon EOS M10 cameras and nuidori travel buddy, Rilakkuma.

Aired on Indonesian TV station, METRO TV, the popular travel series, Kokoro no tomo Joshitabi (Best Friends Forever, Girls’ Travel) kicked off back in 2013, and is now running its 3rd season.

This time, viewers will head to Kawagoe and Yokohama with one of Indonesia’s most popular idol group, the Cherrybelles as guest presenters, and little Rilakkuma in tow. Running across 2 episodes, the girls will get to experience quintessential Japan, from learning how to don a yukata to enjoying a night out at Japanese karaoke.

In episode 8, the girls find themselves in historic Little Edo, named for its reminiscence of the Edo era. In this nostalgic town, they will –aptly- get to learn how to properly wear a yukata, visit the renowned Tendaishu temple, Kita-in that is home to 538 stone Buddhas, feast on traditional Japanese sweets and visit the Hikawa Shrine. The scenic locales are sure to inspire some quirky nuidori shots!

No visit to an Asian country is complete without dropping by the local Chinatown. Episode 9 sees the girls in Yokohama, starting their day shooting landscape photography in the bustling streets of Chinatown. They will visit the Omoshiro Suizoku – a highly unusual aquarium – before singing their hearts out at a local Japanese karaoke. They end their day at the amusement park, Cosmo World and the central business district of Yokohama, Minato Mirai, trying their hand at capturing the dramatic lights and forms the city’s nightscape has to offer.
