#SayYesTo moments worth remembering with @yk (Part 2)

In this article:

What does “saying yes” mean to you?

YK: To me “saying yes” means commitment – committing your time and efforts into the things that mean something to you. You have to be ready to take a leap of faith and give it your all, whether you are saying yes to photography or to trying something new.

What memorable experiences have you had with while shooting?

YK: When you go out shooting, the experience is more than what you see in the photos themselves. Once I was shooting the street lights in Hong Kong with my camera on a tripod, right in front of a key-chain store. The owner was very curious and I explained to her what the tripod does (she called it a three-legged thing). As I was leaving she gifted me a camera key chain, which I really cherish, and I joined her for a quick supper. I even took her portrait afterwards. This just shows how photography can bring people from all walks of life together!

How was your experience with the EOS 800D?

YK: I had a really good experience with the EOS 800D! It packs quite a punch considering it's an entry-level DSLR. The focusing is excellent even with the Live View and I can easily track my subjects whether it’s a fluff ball or a girl learning to ride a bike. Plus, it’s a fully articulating flip-screen too so I can shoot at various interesting angles. The light-weight body also makes it great for carrying around if you’re going to be roaming around the entire day.

EOS 800D, EF50mm f/1.8 STM, f/2, 50mm, 1/200, ISO 800

What was your favourite feature?

YK: I actually like how the guided menu can help people who just are starting out, learn the basics of photography. You don't have to check online or search through your notes to get the right settings. The tips on the “guided mode” will eliminate all that inconvenience and save time, so you can maximize your shooting potential.

What would you personally want to #SayYesTo?

YK: I would totally #SayYesTo doing photography for the rest of my life as my career!
