Sometimes the best photos can be achieved in our own back yard. This is the story of these photos. I find it hard to look out my window and not grab my camera and start shooting. Some are very good and others are just OK. maybe it is the journey that counts. The cover photo was shot while in my kitchen on a cold day. I just opened the window and started shooting. I captured this Eastern Blue Bird in flight. I am trying to learn how to use my Canon RF 600mm STM lens and struggle with getting sharp photos. The blue Heron and Eastern Blue Bird were shot with the RF 600mm STM lens on the Canon EOS R5 body. Both on a tripod.
