Grainy photos taken during night-time. Impossible to get clear shots of moving objects, especially in low-light situations. Or low-quality images that are far from being insta-worthy. Yes, this is something we all struggle with when taking pictures with our smartphones.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Because now, Canon is introducing the new EOS M200. Packed with easy-to-use features, this is a stylish camera for beginners that lets you take beautiful photos like never before. Even in situations with low light. Let us show you how.

Easy to carry, easy to use

The EOS M200 is a powerful camera with a 24.1-megapixel APS-C sensor, which is greater than any image sensor you would find in a smartphone. But it’s still a real lightweight. With a body weighing approximately 299 grams, it’s about the same as a regular canned drink. Slip it into your pocket or carry it in your small bag, it’s super easy and fun to bring along, wherever you go.

But how easy is it to use? The answer to that is: very easy. Even without any prior photography experience, you can take great pictures right from the get-go. The intuitive LCD touchscreen lets you master your photos with simple taps and swipes, and the easy-to-understand interface will guide you towards the perfect compositions. This display can also be flipped, so you see yourself when taking selfies.

With Creative Assist, you will score your shot

Thanks to Canon’s unique colour science, the EOS M200 captures shots with pleasing and natural-looking colours. But if you want to be more creative with your snaps, Creative Assist is your new best friend. Let’s say you’re standing in front of some funky location, maybe a cool graffiti wall that’s bursting with all kinds of colours. But perhaps the sky isn’t sunny enough, or you would like the shot to be more dramatic. Simply adjust the lighting, colours, and background blur and see how your image is transformed into a work of art. You could say it’s like having your very own lighting specialist inside the camera.

The camera also comes with a wide range of creative filters. Go crazy and enjoy high-quality effects such as fisheye, miniature, and much more. Because photography should be fun!

But first, let us take a selfie with the Self Portrait Mode

With the EOS M200’s Self Portrait Mode, you can always put your best face forward. This important feature allows you to make simple adjustments when taking selfies, such as changing the background blur. It is one of the Special Scene modes where the camera settings have been pre-set for various everyday scenes, including Food, Landscape, Sports, and Silent mode. This is great to use if you don’t know much about camera settings, such as shutter speed, aperture, and exposure. You also have the Smooth Skin mode, a great function that gives you flawless skin in your photos, like a true photo model. Be prepared if people ask you if you have your own make-up artist!

So, you got your shot, and now you want to share it with the world. That’s easily done with the Canon Camera Connect App. Automatically transfer photos and videos directly to your smart device using the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi. And by pairing it with Bluetooth, you can even do playbacks on your smart device without taking the camera out of the bag.
