Jala: Pyakha is reputedly the first mask dance of Nepal. It is performed in Jala, located in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur. The performance lasts for 18 hours and involves 29 priests along with many other followers who obey the priests. This full dance drama takes place twice a year, on Yomari Puni and during Holi.
