EOS 100D – Best Choice for Street Photography

Over the weekend, I brought the EOS 100D out to the downtown area. It was packed and the atmosphere was bustling at times and gloomy at others. The EOS 100D is a camera that can capture the heat of the moment without any compromise.
You can feel the amazingly light weight of the EOS 100D the moment you hold it in your hands. It is so light that you do not feel fatigue from carrying it around the entire day. Despite the compact body size, the EOS 100D offers excellent grip, a quality that has won the confidence of many street photographers. 

After trying out this camera, I feel that its qualities are more than just the excellent mobility mentioned above. Another selling point is the operability of the Live View function, particularly the superb accuracy and functionality of the touch panel. For example, Creative filters can be used in conjunction with other features such as white balance, Picture Style, and exposure compensation, and the combined effect can be simulated on the rear LCD monitor during the shoot. In this case, all these can be collectively operated on the Quick Control screen using the touch panel. Functions can be called up speedily, allowing you to carry out shoots while paying close attention to the picture, which changes in real time.

Creative filters can only be applied when images are captured in JPEG format. However, the filters can be added later onto both RAW and JPEG image files. With the EOS 100D, you can check the Creative filter effects on the rear LCD monitor in real time, so you are recommended to choose a subject and Creative filter effect while photographing. Not only will this result in a more realistic snapshot, the ambience of the place can also be effectively portrayed. In other words, it is the superior operability of the EOS 100D that enables the scene before us to be captured intuitively. Incidentally, multiple Creative filters can be applied to a captured shot. It would also be enjoyable to utilize Creative filters on JPEG images up to a certain extent while you are shooting, and apply more effects at a later stage if necessary.

With the amazingly light weight and compact size of the EOS 100D, you can easily capture day-to-day scenes you encounter in high image quality. It goes beyond being an entry-level model. The EOS 100D is packed with many advanced features to ease photo shooting, thus allowing users to enjoy capturing street shots.

It is a stunning camera that is lighter than it looks. When held in your hands, you will most definitely be surprised. Some noteworthy qualities include a Mode Dial that rotates 360 degrees, and the ease of displaying magnified images on the touch panel. For a camera targeted at beginners, it has many functions and it seems rather like a full-fledged DSLR that also addresses the demands of intermediate and advance users. However, a somewhat regretful feature is that the Creative filter effect settings are cleared upon turning off the Live View function or the camera. That being said, the feeling that you can express your emotions when photographing is still the most important attribute of this camera.
