On Sunday, 5 March 2017, SEKAI NO OWARI, comprising of Nakajin (group leader, lead guitar, sound production); Fukase (lead vocals, group conceptualist); Saori (stage production, piano); and the masked clown DJ LOVE (sonic palette, comedic stage banter), held their first ever concert in Singapore at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel® Singapore. The band had been in Singapore previously for a recording session but this was the first time they were performing in front of their fans in Singapore.

Despite the humid weather, fans were treated to a fantastic show that was full of energy from SEKAI NO OWARI. For one night only, everyone present for the concert was transported to a fantasy world with the aid of SEKAI NO OWARI’s music and special light effects. Band members, especially DJ Love, charmed the crowd with their use of the Chinese and Malay language in a short video as well as during their MC sessions throughout the concert.
Fans who attended the concert were also in for a treat as they were allowed to take photos of SEKAI NO OWARI for the duration of one song. This was part of the Canon Photo Party, a campaign by Canon where attendees can register for a Canon Photo Pass which allows them to take photos of the members with their digital cameras. Response was overwhelming—in addition to online pre-registration, close to 20 fans signed up for the Canon Photo Pass on-site. After all, the opportunity to photograph SEKAI NO OWARI in action through the lens of their own cameras was an experience not to be missed!
On top of that, limited numbers of the latest Canon cameras were also available for loan on-site. Fans seemed to want to get their hands on them as they were loaned out almost immediately.
During the concert, fans were in deep anticipation of the selected song where photography was allowed. When the announcement flashed on screen that the chosen song was the last encore song, “Instant Radio,” the fans who donned the Canon Photo Pass on their arms whipped out their camera to capture SEKAI NO OWARI at their best.
After the event, fans were invited to take part in a photo contest to submit their best photos taken during the Canon Photo Party. 4 winners were selected, and each winner walked away with one Canon SELPHY printer as well as one t-shirt signed by all four members of SEKAI NO OWARI.
