New Premium Compact Digital Camera with One-inch Sensor
Scheduled for release in October 2014, the PowerShot G7 X is Canon's first high-end compact digital camera that is built in with a one-inch sensor. It possesses the characteristics of both the PowerShot G and the PowerShot S series, and is expected to be welcomed by lovers of premium compact digital cameras with a built-in lens.
The overall shape is reminiscent of the PowerShot S series. The size is bigger with the use of a larger-format sensor, but rest assured that its portability remains comparable to the S series.
The excellent operability of the stacked dial and the control ring can be seen as a quality that is inherited from the G series. The leather-like texture on the outside of the body also expresses a sense of elegance, making it an attractive premium compact digital camera.

Lens and Control Ring
f/1.8-2.8, 4.2x optical zoom lens with a focal length range equivalent to 24-100mm in the 35mm format.

The "Reverse Display" function can be set to On or Off.
Stacked Dial
The stacked dial is reminiscent of that on the PowerShot G series. The upper dial is for selecting a shooting mode, and the lower dial for exposure compensation.
Both the upper dial and the shutter button are marked with a red line at the base.
Wi-Fi
Comes with a built-in Wi-Fi function. A button for direct Wi-Fi connection is located on the side of the body.
Also supports NFC. The antenna is located at the base of the body.
